About Hannah Jean-Pierre

I am Hannah Jean-Pierre, LMSW, a licensed social worker, wife, mother, sister, and friend. I am passionate about helping women and girls heal, lead, and become all that God has called them to be.

After graduating from Sacred Heart University, I intentionally took a year away from traditional professional work to delve deeper into ministry and service. During that season, I had the opportunity to help launch and build several women's and youth ministry initiatives. That experience shaped so much of who I am today. I discovered that I love serving people, building something from the ground up, creating spaces where people feel seen and supported, and helping others recognize the gifts and potential God has placed inside of them. It's still my favorite thing to do!

Professionally, I currently work at a nonprofit organization where I help launch college women into the workforce by equipping them with the confidence, skills, mentorship, and opportunities they need to thrive. My work includes leadership development, career readiness, mentorship, networking, professional development, and creating meaningful pathways for young women to transition from college into their careers. I have the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of young women as they discover their strengths, develop their voices, navigate professional spaces, and step into leadership.

Alongside this work, I run a mental wellness mentorship program designed to support middle and high school girls as they navigate the emotional, relational, and personal challenges that come with becoming who they are.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Women's Studies and Human Rights and Social Justice from Sacred Heart University and a Master of Social Work from New York University. As a licensed social worker, I bring a deep understanding of people, relationships, healing, and the complexities of becoming who we are meant to be.

I also serve as a High School Ministry Leader at New Vision International Ministries, where I invest in the next generation and help young people grow in their faith, identity, character, and purpose. Whether I am working with a college graduate preparing for her first career, mentoring a young woman through a difficult season, building a new initiative, or serving in ministry, the heart of my work remains the same: I love to serve, and I love helping people become.

Why A Cup of Grace?

The name A Cup of Grace is deeply personal. My name means grace, and when I look back on my life, I can see how God's grace has carried me through difficult seasons, empowered me to do hard things, and given me the strength, wisdom, and courage to navigate complex situations both personally and professionally.

And then there is the coffee.

I genuinely love coffee: exploring coffee shops, finding cozy places to sit and reflect, and enjoying a good cup of coffee while writing or catching up with a friend. Coffee has always represented something more to me than just a drink. It is an invitation to slow down, connect, think deeply, and make space for meaningful conversation.

A Cup of Grace brings these two things together: my love for coffee and my deep belief in God's grace.

The blog is meant to feel like sitting down with a good friend at your favorite coffee shop. It is a place to slow down, tell the truth, wrestle with life's questions, share what I am learning, celebrate what is beautiful, and leave feeling a little more encouraged than when you arrived.

I hope that every story reminds you that you do not have to navigate life perfectly or alone. God's grace is enough for the hard things, the beautiful things, and everything in between.
